Congratulations to the City of Pleasant Ridge on this prestigious design award! Gainsboro Park, designed by livingLAB, was completed in the summer of 2017. This linear greenspace flanking the Canadian National Railway was transformed from an underutilized, disconnected space to an integrated park stretching nearly a half mile along the eastern edge of Pleasant Ridge. By improving pedestrian circulation and restricting vehicular access, the park has become an asset to the community and a gem for families, dog walkers, and runners.

This award will be presented at the 2018 mParks Annual Conference and Trade Show in Detroit at the Marriott Renaissance Center on February 9 at 8am.
