The Bagley Shared Street project has been completed!!
UPDATE: After wrapping up construction in the fall of 2019 the street endured the snowy winter and rainy spring, and is receiving some well-deserved sunshine in the month of June. Pictures have been updated to show the finished project.
livingLAB was the lead landscape architect for Bagley’s conversion to a shared street from 24th Street to the Fisher Service Drive. The vision for this southwest Detroit corridor, coming forth from the West Vernor Framework Plan, (another livingLAB project) compliments its existing walkability and diversity with a goal of making the retail-heavy corridor more festival-friendly.
livingLAB oversaw the overall street layout and functionality along with the selection of paver materials and patterns, site finishings including festoon lighting, bollards, furnishings, and the streetscape plantings.
