Detroit Future City, in an effort to advance the understanding of barriers to green infrastructure implementation in the City of Detroit, has brought together a workgroup of designers, installers, regulators, community leaders, consultants, and permitting officials for 5 discussion meetings.  Each meeting is assigned a different topic including: design & implementation, measurements & metrics, construction & City permitting, maintenance & workforce, and community engagement & acceptance and other BMPs.  livingLAB has found great value from these conversations, and are hopeful that the commonality in defined implementation barriers from each discipline will help guide the City of Detroit to processes that get more green infrastructure into the ground.
