cmap outdoor art + performance space

CMAP (Carrie Morris Art Production) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a forum for contemporary puppetry, multimedia performance and artistic exploration in Detroit. livingLAB worked with CMAP to develop a concept plan to envision their outdoor performance space on the Detroit/Hamtramck border that will welcome residents and visitors from a variety of cultural, religious and economic backgrounds. With input from neighbors, community members, performers, and various artists, livingLAB generated a conceptual design to support a flexible outdoor performance stage and viewing area, a children’s area to explore, play and experiment, and a unique place to gather. CMAP is using the concept plan and 3D graphics to seek funding and move forward with implementation.
