Huge Congrats to our friends at Heritage Works and the North Corktown Neighborhood Association for their recent award of funds from the Kresge KIP:Detroit Program! Both organizations utilized the North Corktown Cultural Plan as a foundation for the grant applications to Kresge. Under the grant from Round 6 of Kresge Innovative Projects: Detroit, Heritage Works will design and create a cultural community center and accompanying mural to foster a resilience hub in North Corktown. The North Corktown Neighborhood Association will engage the community in planning to steward the development of a neighborhood land trust and future green space projects in North Corktown.
